Staff Sgt. Travis S. Bachman was three weeks shy of returning home (Garden City, KS) from Iraq when he was killed by an IED. Bachman, 30, was a member of the 1st Battalion, 161st Field Artillery. SSG Bachman is survived by his wife, Amber, their son, Tyler, and his parents, Rodney and Connie Bachman.
